We have an excellent opportunity available for you to grow your career and make a difference at Nomad Foods Joining us as a Logistics Buyer, you’ll be supporting the procurement strategy for the Logistics team to maximise cost savings whilst maintaining standards. The role supports the execution of the procurement strategy for logistics by ensuring business requirements are met through procuring goods and services in a sustainable and ethical way, whilst optimising costs, maintaining quality standards and mitigating supply chain risks. Identify, improve and manage all logistics suppliers at Nomad Foods, ensuring maximum value creation for all parties. Using market trends and forecasts to leverage negotiations with suppliers. Owning annual targets for cost saving, productivity improvements and reduction of COGs for the segment. Ensuring suppliers used are minimising environmental impact by working closely with the sustainability team Working closely with Logistics team to identify suppliers based on optimal performance, and at times challenging decisions to ensure the best result for Nomad Foods. A strong buyer with experience of logistics or indirect categories. Striving to deliver on cost-saving targets whilst maintaining high standards of performance and supplier relationships. You’ll be commercially driven and have strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders. Indirect procurement experience is essential. A knowledge / understanding of logistics is desirable (3PL, 4PL etc). Experience within FMCG or Retail buying preferred. Strong stakeholder management skills and proactive in communication. CIPS qualification beneficial. Proven record of delivering cost savings and improve commercial value.
