Role Highlights: Full-time, permanent position at a well-established SEN school in Kingston Teach a KS1 curriculum to a class of students with a range of SEN, including learning difficulties and social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH) Provide personalized support and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of each student Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment, where students feel valued and supported Collaborate with SEN support staff, teaching assistants, and external professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods and strategies as needed Encourage students’ personal development and build their confidence through tailored learning experiences Experience & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential Experience teaching KS1 students, particularly those with special educational needs A passion for working with children with SEN and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment Strong understanding of differentiation and creating engaging lessons for students with varying needs Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Enhanced DBS check required Why Join Us?
