Information & Cyber Security Manager
Are you an experienced cybersecurity professional with a passion for protecting organisations from evolving threats? We are seeking a dedicated Information & Cyber Security Manager to join our team and play a key role in enhancing our clients cybersecurity framework.
Role Overview
As the Information & Cyber Security Manager, youll work closely with the Head of Cyber & Data Security to implement and execute strategies that ensure the security of their information assets and systems. You will lead initiatives in detecting, responding to, and mitigating cyber threats while cultivating a culture of ‘zero trust’ and promoting cybersecurity awareness across the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the Security Operations Center (SOC) for real-time incident monitoring and detection.
* Manage security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption.
* Execute and evolve the organisation’s Cyber Security strategy to counter emerging threats.
* Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards.
* Perform regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and ensure timely remediation.
* Lead cybersecurity awareness programs and promote security best practices to employees and customers.
* Identify and mitigate cyber risks, conducting risk assessments and audits.
* Collaborate with internal teams and represent the organisation in external cybersecurity forums.
Required Skills and Knowledge
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP).
* Expertise in managing and implementing security tools and technologies, with knowledge of Microsoft Azure being advantageous.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to engage across all levels.
* Ability to build a culture of ‘zero trust’ and instil security-first thinking throughout the organisation.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable experience in writing and enforcing cybersecurity policies and procedures.
* Hands-on experience with cloud technologies.
* Professional cybersecurity certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM).
* Additional certifications such as CySA+, CEH, or CCSP.
* Experience working at a technical level with cloud technologies.
