YouTube Channel Executive
Role overview:
The purpose of this role is to be a team player within the YouTube team to ensure in smooth running of our channel. You will support on the backend of the channel including content uploads & scheduling as well as managing and building the community. Working alongside the JD Sports social team, you will work to create synergy between YouTube & the JD Sports social channels. You will report into the YouTube channel manager.
Work as part of the main YouTube team to continue to build a best in class channel within the Urban culture scene.
Responsibilities:
* Support in content uploads including tagging & metadata/SEO
* Support on the roll out process of YouTube content across JD Sports channels.
* Be a key point of contact for the social team.
* Work closely with the social team to come up with creative concepts to maximise on YouTube talent & content.
* Be a key voice for content & channel trends across YouTube.
* Identify key &B upcoming talents across YouTube and social channels.
* Liasie with our stylist to ensure talent outfits are on point and in trend.
* Feed into content for both channels from a trend POV.
* Support in briefing in new content series into our production partners
* Be forthcoming with researching new and upcoming talent that aligns with the channel & JD Sports brand.
* Support in the delivery of graphical elements such as thumbnails and end frames.
* Support in building our JD’s TOV across the channel, reply to our communities comments.
* Monitor and report on external stats and performance.
* Assistant in arrangements for talent on shoots; car transfers, timings, shoot details.
* Attend shoots where necessary.
Skills and Experience:
* Knowledge of the JD brand; past & present.
* A good knowledge of YouTube as a content platform including experience in content management and writing metadata and SEO.
* Have a genuine interest in the JD culture through the lens of talent, music, content & trends.
* A good understanding of YouTube content, trends & storytelling.
* A good understanding best in class & relevant YouTube channels & content creators.
* An understanding of JD’s existing social channels.
* Experience in creating content for YouTube/social channels is advantageous.
* Project management skills. Organised and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
* Strong attention for detail.
* Strong communication skills: able to communicate effectively between teams.
* Eagerness to learn with a ‘can do’ attitude.
* Driven to be part of a fast-growing team with ambition to win.
* Openness to growth and the ability to work closely with other teams.
Training needs to upskill:
* Training on JD’s Influencer platform at time of employment
* Any management training / courses that may upweight skillset
* Opportunity to share ideas with the YouTube & social team.
* Good knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube as well as supporting social channels and new and upcoming platforms.
