Ward clerk to provide administrative support to the nursing and medical team on medical wards.
Applicants must have an extremely flexible approach to work as cover will be required over 5 days a week. They must have a pleasant personality and a positive approach to their work. Applicants must also have a good standard of education, be adaptable and have good organisational skills. A professional telephone manner is essential to receive and respond courteously to all telephone enquiries regarding patient care.
The ward clerks are an integral part of the ward team and the ward clerk position demands good team working and time management skills.
Main duties of the job
To ensure comprehensive data quality for in patients. To support the nursing staff with administrative duties. Update ward lists. Deal with telephone calls. Ensure medical notes are available and filed accordingly.
The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

Qualifications and/or Knowledge
* Maths/English GCSE or equivalent
* NVQ 2 in Administration
* NVQ in Customer Service
* ECDL
