Join our team where you'll have the opportunity to care for patients recovering from major trauma. You will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and leadership skills on a busy acute ward and grow within your staff nurse post.
We treat emergency major trauma patients, including a high number of fragility fracture patients, and have a dedicated trauma coordination team to expedite surgery. We work closely with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the right care, right place, and right patient. Many of our patients live with dementia, and we are looking for nurses who can build relationships with patients and their families. Working with patients who live with dementia provides opportunities to support the latest thinking in nursing. You will benefit from working in a multi-professional team, including a therapeutic activity coordinator, offering endless opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge, and experience in this field.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from hardworking, innovative, and highly motivated nurses to join a dynamic team in our Major Trauma Ward. With your natural skills and abilities to prioritize, you will carry out a range of duties that may vary day to day. Acting as the patient's advocate, you will work within the NMC Code of Conduct in a vibrant, friendly, and supportive environment. You will be required to work flexibly in a changing environment, and be confident, approachable, and able to demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative.
