Our client is currently looking to appoint a skilled and dynamic Quantity Surveyor to enhance their current team and support projects across all commercial aspects of the business.
Primarily focused within the Passive Fire Division, this position may also involve exposure to various other business sectors, offering an excellent opportunity for career progression.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have previous contractor experience, with a proven ability to manage the Quantity Surveying function on projects within their remit. While experience in passive fire protection is an advantage, it is not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
Ensure adherence to contract terms and conditions.
Attend site visits as required to ensure commercial compliance.
Ensure applications and invoices are issued on time, accurately, and in line with contract terms.
Manage change events, ensuring a successful commercial outcome.
Assist the credit control team in reviewing debtors and supporting payment collection.
Provide monthly reporting on WIP (Work in Progress) and CVRs (Cost Value Reports).
Review weekly operational reports for commercial tracking.
Provide commercial and contractual assistance on projects, including attending progress meetings and assisting with programme management under NEC contracts.
Commercially manage subcontractors, including placing orders, certifying applications, managing changes, and agreeing on final accounts.
Help resolve client financial or contractual issues and disputes, including managing final accounts on projects.
Mentor junior members of the team and provide guidance when required.
What We're Looking For:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar industry-recognised qualification.
At least 3 years of post-graduate experience within a contractor environment.
Experience in passive fire protection is beneficial but not essential.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly JCT and NEC.
Knowledge of applications, contract change management, subcontractor procurement, and project reporting.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional manner.
Strong financial and commercial acumen for managing value and cost.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to change and work effectively as part of a team.
