Haven Health are looking to recruit an experienced practice nurse for 25-30 hours per week for their busy practice located in Felixstowe. This role can be very much tailored to the right individual with full support given for any ongoing career and personal development, however, flexibility is crucial to accommodate training, holidays and occasional sickness. Main responsibilities will include: Providing nursing services to patients on the practice list. Providing assessment, advice, screening and treatment. Providing care directly to patients without referral via another senior nurse or doctor. Carrying out immunisations, c ervical smears, c ontraception advice and pill checks. Managing chronic diseases particularly respiratory. Carrying out general treatment room duties. Working to practice protocols and guidelines. Please see full job description attached. About the Candidate All applicants should have the following qualifications, registrations, skills and experience: Essential: A relevant nursing degree. Current NMC registration. Knowledge of diabetes with Warwick diploma or similar. Excellent attention to detail and ability to check work to ensure high levels of accuracy. Ability to work on repetitive and regular tasks. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Problem solving skills. Ability to escalate problems or issues. Good reading and writing skills. Professional telephone manner. Ability to deal with patients sensitively. Ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative when required. Desired: SystmOne and AskmyGP experience. Diploma in Asthma/COPD and long term condition management.
