Customer Change Agent - Migration - Ref: RT09724 Grade: G10; Salary Range: £43,693 - £48,710 An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our housing and resettlement team as a Migration Specialist Customer Change Agent. You will get involved in a number of projects including contracted and internal services. As Change Agent with the Housing and Resettlement Service, it's key that you have experience/understanding in a number of areas such as change management, quality assurance and understand the importance of customer led services, particularly in Refugee Resettlement. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Customer Change Agent specialising in Migration and key related issues. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our customers and commissioned services through complex migration processes and ensuring they have a smooth and successful transition to their new lives. Key Responsibilities include: • Provide expert advice and guidance on migration-related issues, including understanding and navigating government programmes such as Afghan Relocation Schemes, Homes for Ukraine and United Kingdom Resettlement • Assist clients/services in understanding their rights, options, and the processes involved in their migration journey. • Develop services that can maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring they feel supported and informed at every stage of their migration. • Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organisations, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive support to clients. • Stay updated on changes to migration policies and programmes, and communicate these changes effectively to clients and team members. This is a great opportunity to help shape resettlement services and work to improve the lives of our communities. The role as a change agent within the team, the successful candidate must have a good understanding of resettlement research and emerging issues is key. The importance of understanding research methods, data analysis and being able to translate these into strategy and policy is a focus of the position. As a resettlement service we work to support integration of new communities. Therefore, having experience of refugee and asylum seeker resettlement programmes such as the Afghan Relocation Schemes, Homes for Ukraine and United Kingdom Resettlement is important. Part of the resettlement work will involve working with third sector and community groups and key stakeholder. The role undertakes contract management and it’s essential the right candidate understands the procurement stages and has the right ethos to contract manage external providers. This can include regular meetings with contractors, dealing with under performance and looking at ways to bring value to council services. Partnership working is key to the role therefore understanding the principles of positive partnership working, and experience of working with different stakeholders.
