We are seeking a female support worker for this role in accordance with care plans and personal care tasks involved in the role.

Be part of an amazing expanding support team. Immediate interviews available — for new to care and experienced staff in Kent. Supporting autistic adults with their day-to-day needs and a wide range of activities including visits to theme parks, swimming, walking, and shopping. Excellent specialist training provided.
You will ideally be a driver and able to drive manual vehicles and be comfortable with driving the people we support in their mobility cars/people carriers.
On average, our starting salary for a support worker is £25,812 per year (based on a 35-hour week and including one sleep-in per week at £60 per night). Working an additional 6 hours per week (41 hours) will increase your earnings to £29,844 per year (including holiday allowance). Many of our experienced workers earn more than £30,000 per year by picking up overtime.

River Drive is a unique purpose-built service split over 2 floors, supporting 3 adults with autism. Residents participate in activities like theatre trips, wildlife parks, and coastal visits.
We seek a specialist support worker who believes everyone has the right to be involved in all aspects of their lives and can support and encourage active participation.

About the Support Worker Role:
Hours: 35
Shift: 3-week rota
Location: River Drive
This permanent position offers varied responsibilities with opportunities for progression. We support individuals with complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities, on a 1:1 basis.
We pride ourselves on our specialist PBS training, coaching, and ongoing support.

Tasks / Responsibilities:
* Drive a mobility car or service vehicle. Manual license required (ESSENTIAL).
* Support individuals with challenging behaviors, mental health issues, and other needs.
* Support activities in the community such as bike rides, walks, and shopping.
* Administer medication.
* Assist with personal care and hygiene.
* Confidently work alone when needed.
* Undertake sleep-in shifts and receive an allowance.
* Household management tasks including cooking and cleaning.
* Uphold privacy, confidentiality, and dignity.
* Handle money for shopping and banking.
* Support individuals with additional needs like epilepsy, pica, and learning disabilities.
* Build good working relationships across services.
* Maintain accurate written records.
