SEN Teaching Assistant Required in New Malden (South London) - Immediate Start Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted "Good" Special School. The position will involve providing classroom support to students in small groups and on a 1:1 basis, this will be a full-time, long-term position starting immediately. About the school: Melrose school is a specialist school catering for pupils aged 5-16 years all with EHCP's. Students have primarily Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs with some additional needs such as ADHD, Trauma or Speech and Language needs. Focusing on a nurturing environment working alongside CAMHS, Speech and Language therapists, Occupational therapists, educational psychologists, Social Workers and Mentors. Daily Rate: £90 - £110 Location: New Malden (SW20) Contract Type: Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Full-Time) Start Date: Immediate Duration: Long Term The successful applicants will have: Previous experience working with Autism, Speech Language and Communication difficulties. Previous experience managing challenging behavior. Ideally experience working with children and/or young people. Valid and enhanced child or child and adult DBS check. The role will consist of: Offering support to the class teacher. Provide support for individuals and groups of pupils, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities. Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans. Building good student - teacher rapport.
