Job Description
As an Extrusion Operator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Extrusion Supervisor, your work will help the business achieve production goals while maintaining the highest standards of safety, and quality.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operating extrusion machinery to meet production targets while maintaining product quality.
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure sheet specifications are met.
* Granulating scrap materials and ensuring no contamination.
* Recording production data accurately on our ERP system (M3).
* Assisting with equipment clean-downs and changeovers.
* Ensuring proper housekeeping and hygiene in your work area.
* Supporting the wider team to meet efficiency and production targets.
The work environment is dynamic and hands-on, offering an active role in a fast-paced production setting. The nature of the process involves a noisy and warm environment, but we prioritise your safety and well-being with comprehensive safety measures.
Qualifications
Essential :
* Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, or hands-on experience operating machinery.
* A team player with a proactive attitude and a high attention to detail.
* Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work independently.
* Awareness of health and safety practices.
Desirable:
* Forklift licenses (reach and counterbalance).
* Experience in extrusion or plastics manufacturing (full training will be provided) .
Additional Information
Shift Pattern:
* Panama Schedule: 12-hour shifts covering days, nights, and weekends, averaging 42 hours per week.
Salary:
* Starting £30,000–£32,000 (inclusive of shift allowance).
