Worley is currently recruiting for a QC Inspector to be based at Grimsby, including site visits.
Purpose/Role:
The primary role of the Trainee QC Inspector is to ensure that the approved operating procedures of Worley Field Services are fully implemented by fabrication managers, supervisors, and workforce at our workshop facilities and on client sites where WFS is active. With support from the QC Team, the Trainee QC Inspector will be required to offer front line surveillance inspections on welding activities and general fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Performing spot audit inspections of products during manufacture.
2. Visual inspections of welding activities and reporting to QC Inspectors / Senior QC Inspector.
3. Attending specific inspections as marked in Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
4. Selection and identification of welds required to be examined and liaising with sub-contractors to ensure requested NDT is performed.
5. Carrying out specific coating inspections as annotated in relevant inspection and test plans (ITPs).
6. Ensuring inspection and test plans are complied with and liaising with client representatives to ensure attendance at nominated intervention points.
7. Generation and review of all manufacturing inspection and test records and compilation of associated Manufacturing Record Books (MRB).
8. Review of all inspection and test reports provided by third parties within the knowledge of the individual.
9. Raising quality observation reports and performing corrective actions if required.
10. Any other tasks deemed appropriate by the business and within the competence skills of the individual.
Qualifications and Certification Required:
Essential:
* Minimum of CSWIP 3.0.
* Safety Passport.
* Driving Licence.
Ideally, candidates should have the following experience:
* Demonstrable experience in similar roles.
* Demonstrable commitment to always working safely.
* Flexible – able to comply with company and project requirements.
* Ability to work with other team members/disciplines and in a multi-cultural environment.
* Confident and able to work unsupervised, using own initiative.
* Desire to learn and develop within the role.
