As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in promoting a culture of health and safety across our clients new build Construction projects. Your role will primarily be advisory, supporting teams on site, overseeing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will work collaboratively with site teams, providing expert guidance and reporting to ensure best practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
• Advisory Role: Act as a key advisor to site teams, offering guidance on health and safety matters.
• Risk Assessments & Method Statements (RAMS): Oversee and manage the creation, review, and approval of RAMS for all projects to ensure safety measures are appropriate and compliant.
• Site Inspections: Regularly visit sites across the UK to assess health and safety conditions, ensuring compliance with regulations and internal standards.
• Reporting: Maintain detailed records and reports on site safety, incidents, and improvements, feeding back to the senior management team.
• Legislation Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant health and safety legislation and ensure that all company operations comply with current regulations.
• Incident Management: Support and advise on any health and safety incidents, ensuring thorough investigations and reporting are carried out.
• Training: Provide training and support to staff, ensuring they are aware of their health and safety responsibilities.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager, ideally within the construction or cladding industry.
• In-depth knowledge of current health and safety regulations, especially in non-PC environments.
• Experience with RAMS management and site safety inspections.
• NEBOSH or equivalent health and safety qualification.
• Strong communication and advisory skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with on-site teams.
• Willingness to travel across the UK
