The Cloud Platformteam is on the journey to create the next generation technicalplatform for Lloyds Banking Group that will be at the core of oneof the UK's biggest financial service transformations. We'relooking for a GCP Cloud Product Service Reliability Engineer tojoin our Cloud SRE within the CloudPlatform.
The successfulcandidate will have a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitiousteam with the purpose of driving our tech modernisation agenda andenable Lloyds Banking Group to become the biggest Fintech in theUK!
The role is deliveringagainst SRE GCP Public Cloud technology roadmaps, collaborativelyworking with other engineering teams to build, release and evolveenterprise-class solutions, that are reliable and evergreen ascloud technologies continue to mature at a fast-pace. The rolerequires engineers to be responsible for the operations of a largeset of Cloud products and services (including 24x7 coverage byparticipating in pager-duty/on-callrota)
Day to dayyou'll be involvedwith:
* Hands-onengineering, maintaining our Infrastructure as Code and CI/CDpipeline-based product and services by responding to change,implementing enhancements & improving reliability and customerexperience
* Observability,investigating & fixing service issues, with an engineeringmindset – resolving via code changes and implementing improvementsto prevent repeatissues
* Implementing furtherautomation and reducing toil, by utilising existing Cloud toolingor implementing newtechnologies

What you’llneed:
* Certificationsand experience working with GCPproducts
* Strong DevOpsunderstanding, including experience of Infrastructure as Code andCI/CD pipelines, such as Terraform and Jenkins, or alternativessuch as Azure DevOps
* Abilityto quickly understand, update and write code in languages such asPython, Groovy, BASH,PowerShell
* A strongunderstanding of Cloud security andnetworking
* Experience inproblem-solving, able to demonstrate logical thinking and excellenttroubleshootingskills
* Demonstrate a passionto continue to learn and develop your engineeringskills
* Strong understandingand demonstrable use of source control practice and collaborativeworking as part of an engineeringteam
* Experience ofdeveloping for, or administrating Kubernetes clusters in aproductionenvironment
* Experience inautomating/scripting to removetoil
Anyexperience of these would be reallyuseful
* Candidateswith less direct experience in cloud engineering, who candemonstrate strong skills in other areas such as sysadmin, softwareengineering or other technology/engineering disciplines who alsoare able to quickly adapt and pick up new skills will also beconsidered
