Value Stream Lead at Honeywell Defence and Space

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join us in Redditch, where you will be responsible for overseeing the strip, inspection, assembly, and testing of complex assemblies, reading technical drawings and test specifications, and understanding the requirements to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety in everything you do.

Our normal working hours (total 37 hours per week) are:
Mon to Thu 8.00 till 17.00 (with a paid morning break and 45-minute lunch break)
Responsibilities
1. Assemble, test, and/or inspect components or products in accordance with drawings or other specification requirements.
2. Work effectively as an individual or as a team member to achieve the required quality, delivery, and cost performance necessary to enable the business to satisfy customer orders.
3. On completion of the product testing, assist the team to determine the success of the test.
4. If testing has failed, aid in the diagnosis of failure modes, potentially related to the test equipment or the product, and identify next steps.
5. Flow down of customer and company requirements into test documentation and procedures.
6. Assist with test rig design and build in line with applicable requirements and standards.
7. Execution of qualification and development testing.
8. Gather and analyze engineering test data using data acquisition (DAQ) systems.
9. Write up test reports.
10. Work with senior engineers to gain in-depth knowledge of Honeywell components and test facilities.
11. Assist in product fault diagnosis and manufacturing/production test issues.
Qualifications
1. Hold a good engineering background or education in a related field.
2. Strong analytical mind and attention to detail.
3. Hydraulics/pneumatic experience would be a plus but not a requirement.
