Overview:
This is an opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to work on behalf of our client who own and operate a chemical manufacturing plant.
The successful candidate must have experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Technician on fixed equipment including boilers, heat exchangers, valves, furnaces, flanges and associated pipework within the petrochemical or chemical manufacturing sector. The role will include a combination of mechanical preparatory work in advance of third party sub-contractors commencing their activities along with completing a work list of minor modification and maintenance work involving simple fixes and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Completing mechanical maintenance activities both in the workshop and in the filed across a range of mechanical fixed equipment.
Ensuring efficient preventative maintenance and defect repairs are performed on mechanical equipment.
Demonstrating resilience, ownership, and innovation in solving mechanical maintenance problems.
Partnering with the First Line Supervisor to develop and build your safety capacity.
Collaborating with the site operations team to execute planned maintenance tasks.
Carrying out Root Cause Failure Analysis on equipment failures and working with other functions to mitigate future occurrences.
Job Requirements:
Completed an apprenticeship to SVQ level 3 or equivalent in a Mechanical trade. HNC in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous but not essential.
