Part-time Accounts Assistant – Glasgow
A leading technology company based in central Glasgow are looking to expand their team, by welcoming a part time Accounts Assistant to join their finance department.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Record and maintain accurate financial transactions for the company.
* Assist in the reparation of financial statements, including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
* Process and post payments, invoices, income, and receipts in accounting software.
* Handle accounts payable and receivable.
* Maintain company ledgers and ensure compliance with sales terms.
* File historical records and retrieve documents when necessary.
* Monitor debt levels and assist in reconciling inaccuracies.
* Support the development and monitoring of budgets.
* Prepare information for auditors, VAT returns and FCA returns.
* Provide administrative and clerical support as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
* AAT qualification or CIMA part-qualified (further training support available).
* Practical experience using Xero software (2 years).
* Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
