As a Learning and Skills Manager, you will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of UK apprenticeship initiatives and the Group-wide reskill and early career programmes. There will also be a focus on building equivalent apprenticeship curriculums for India based colleagues to grow the organisation’s internal capability in priority areas. The remit will be primarily focused on data & technology skills, with some exceptions for apprenticeships supporting growth of skills in other business functions. Your responsibilities will also include… Use a ‘systems thinking’ approach designing learning journeys with consideration of all touch points throughout a colleagues end to end experience Integrate reskill and early career journeys into the wider Learning catalogue, particularly within Data and Technology Work with business functions to curate appropriate learning pathways and identify reskill requirements Be OSB Group’s UK Apprenticeship SME and supporting colleagues on programmes Design learning pathways using a mix of external and internally created content, inclusive of different format such as digital learning, facilitated learning, workshops, on the job training and coaching Ensure full visibility of the backlog, work in progress, flow and output of the work, escalating blockers and managing dependencies We offer a base salary dependent on experience and a competitive benefits package including: Discretionary annual bonus opportunity of up to 15% 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays Contributory pension ( 8% employer 5% employee) Life Assurance (4x salary) plus Group Income Protection Access to Private Medical Insurance and Medical Cash Plan Maternity & Adoption Leave – Occupational Maternity/Adoption Pay provided at 100% of salary for the first 26 weeks. We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience and knowledge set out below: Proven experience creating and delivering learning and development journeys including content creation and design Experience or good understanding of delivering UK Apprenticeships with strong knowledge of the apprenticeship levy and reskilling Familiarity with a skills based organisation approach (FSSC) Specialist knowledge of learning & development best practices and industry trends with a strong focus on data and technology learning approaches People leadership experience and/or aptitude and passion for supporting and coaching others in their development Being outcome and insight focussed to ensure measurable impact of programmes Exceptional communication skills are essential (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences and stakeholders of all levels Previous experience working within an agile environment We also believe that your career and how you progress is as unique as your individual personality.
