Job Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for effective delivery of technical support and installations including break-fix tasks, hardware, network, cabling, and rack deployments.
2. Site planning, problem escalation, and managing installations in an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) data center.
3. Prioritize ticketing queues, resolve escalations, and clear blocking issues to enable continued delivery of technician activities in accordance with internal policies and service level agreements.
4. Provide 24x7 site coverage for Oracle OCI data center sites.
5. Participate in the regional standby rotation program and shift, requiring a 7x24-hours commitment.
6. Involves on-call shifts, necessitating a driving license and the ability to reach the data center site within 60 minutes.
7. Work in close collaboration with other technical and non-technical teams (e.g., networking, compute, compliance, business operations).
8. Understand internal customer problems and provide technical solutions in a timely manner.
9. Participate in the installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimization of all production server hardware and software.
10. Support deployment of on-site data center physical infrastructure, with structured cabling installation being a significant part of this position.
11. Install, replace, and troubleshoot cables and hardware.
12. Work within a ticket-based environment, prioritizing ticketing queues and resolving escalations.
13. Be aware of and abide by ticket processes and protocol, including OCI Change Management rules.
14. System board-level repair and fault diagnosis to SLAs.
15. Use provided tools for proper and timely internal reporting.
16. Plan and commission new rack positions.
17. Involvement with the design and commissioning of new whitespaces.
18. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team without friction.
19. Solid knowledge of fiber and copper cabling.
