Due to continued growth, one of the UK’s leading fencing contractors is looking to recruit an experienced Estimator to join our team in Caerphilly.
We design, manufacture and install a wide range of perimeter solutions including timber and steel fencing, acoustic barriers, automated gates, bespoke metalwork and more. Our clients include commercial, industrial and educational organisations across Wales and Southern England.
Example projects range from simple school fences to large-scale city-centre developments and high-security distribution centres.
The Role
As Estimator, you’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are costed accurately, competitively, and efficiently. You'll work closely with sales, operations and clients—preparing quotations, assessing sites, liaising with suppliers, and supporting smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate estimates for labour, materials and project costs
- Produce clear, competitive quotations for clients
- Conduct site visits and assessments where required
- Liaise with clients and suppliers throughout the tendering process
- Work with manufacturing and installation teams to ensure feasibility and timelines
- Maintain records of estimates, quotes, and specifications
- Contribute to project scheduling and handovers
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in estimating (ideally in fencing or construction)
- Knowledge of fencing systems, materials, and installation practices
- Strong communication and client liaison skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Comfortable with spreadsheets and estimating software
- Full UK driving licence (essential for site visits)
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CITB, RICS)
- Experience in sales or customer-facing roles
