As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will manage, develop, and lead the team of In-House hygiene technicians safely and effectively whilst driving behavioural safety within the team to achieve and maintain an ‘Audit Ready Standards’ approach to site cleaning standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Have ownership of their responsibilities and ensure that team members clearly understand their daily tasks.
2. Create a positive and safe working environment with team members.
3. Report daily issues, including personnel, to supervisors in a timely manner.
4. Ensure all staff understand and follow all procedures throughout the factory.
5. Take ownership of duties in the assigned area, including machinery, personnel training, and daily hygiene cleaning documents.
Summary of Duties:
1. Health & Safety: Deliver unsafe condition and unsafe behavioral audits with actions (3 per week per Team Leader) through QR Code system.
2. Achieve a 'right first time' clean, following set work instructions and safety protocols.
3. Control hygiene team members at all times to ensure they wear PPE.
4. Identify and report any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor when they arise.
5. Timely and accurate completion of related documents and records.
6. Ensure hygiene operatives cleaning machines follow the correct guidelines as per CIC.
7. Manage hygiene staff on the shift to ensure they are proactive and carry out their job roles safely and effectively.
8. Carry out start-up/inspection checks of cleaning equipment and report any damages.
9. Supervise allocated hygiene staff daily to ensure smooth running of the shift and task completion efficiently.
10. Ensure factory production areas are kept tidy throughout the day, particularly keeping floors clear and rubbish regularly removed.
11. Arrange interim cleaning of work surfaces, including chiller shelving, tabletops, and chopping boards.
12. Actively participate in deep cleans and be responsible for hygiene factory documents.
13. Ensure smooth running of the tray wash machine and conveyors, providing clean trays for Production and reporting any issues or faults that may occur.
14. Ensure clear understanding of hygiene key inspection points from CIC.
15. Prioritize hygiene duties at all times, reporting any issues to the Hygiene Supervisor.
16. Report any Health and Safety issues or accidents immediately to the Hygiene Supervisor or Hygiene Manager.
17. Maintain a positive working environment with team members.
