We are now transitioning our lead programme into clinic - There has never been a better time to join TeamMestag Scope of role This is an outstanding new opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic Senior Quality professional to join our team in an innovative biotech to work closely with cross-functional teams both internally and externally. With our lead compound transitioning into clinic, we are looking for a highly collaborative Head of Quality with passion and motivation to lead and define our Quality and Compliance activities. This includes developing our quality processes and procedures to ensure compliance with appropriate GxP regulations and guidelines, as well as “inspection-readiness”. This is an exciting hands-on role working within a fast-paced biotech environment. You will experience a variety of broader business activities including business development, portfolio reviews, staff/system development, and strategic reviews and share our vision to bring new therapies to patients in need. The Position Quality management system: Build, implement and maintain a phase-appropriate GxP quality system; oversee SOP preparation and implementation by other functions; support continuous improvement and risk management activities Ensure internal compliance: training records, deviations, change control and CAPA; conduct internal audits; keep up to date with regulatory expectations and ensure Mestag conducts its activities in accordance with relevant GxP requirements Vendor qualification and audits: compilation and oversight of risk-based audit schedules; manage supplier contracts, performance and monitoring; ensure robust oversight of GxP vendors and complete quality investigations when issues occur; establish network of external auditors and experts to support decision making where required Provide leadership and guidance to the QA Team to achieve program and organizational goals Contribute to a collaborative environment with Mestag core values of Passion, Boldness, Integrity and Teamwork driving innovation and efficiency within the team Minimum Qualifications and Experience: Proven track record within Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance leading the position-relevant tasks, such as QM system setup and maintenance, ensuring Gxp compliance and vendor quality management Experience working within a developing fast paced R&D based biotech company a definite plus BSc, MSc or PhD within a scientific discipline, ideally within chemistry, biology, pharmacy or biotechnology Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and organisational skills; ability to assess and manage risk, work to deadlines and multi-task Passionate, self-driven, dedicated, inclusive, open-minded, collaborative and forward-thinking.
