Job Description As a Senior Event Manager at Searcys you will be responsible for the managing and planning of all bookings in accordance with company or site policies and procedures and in accordance with pre-approved parameters to ensure brand reputation is protected and profit margins are maintained. You will possess excellent product knowledge, strong business acumen and lead your team by example. You will have a proven track record within the industry and have experience running and leading a strong events team. Job Type: Full Time Salary: From £40,000 Key responsibilities: To demonstrate thorough knowledge of our products, prices, facilities, policies and procedures from either the venue or from client (when applicable). To manager/oversee the booking diary to ensure all bookings are attended to in a timely manner (sufficient lead time to manage all aspects of the event). To proactively develop and maintain relationships with key accounts To represent 30 Euston Square in a professional and cordial manner when interacting with clients, work colleagues and industry peers. To effectively allocate contracted events to event team members, overseeing progress of bookings to ensure the event pack is ready at the agreed date/time by management. To ensure thorough knowledge with both the Internal and External Hire Agreement between venue and the hirer, including, but not limited to all cancelation policy. To ensure thorough knowledge of internal and external rates To ensure all accounting procedures, including but not limited to administration of deposit invoice, deposit credit notes and debt are processed and managed in an efficient manner. To demonstrate competitor awareness and carry out competitor analysis when required. To process and manage all client requirements in accordance with building, client or company policies to ensure compliance of food, health and safety at all times. To book, when necessary, third party approved suppliers such as entertainment and/or equipment hire as agreed in written by the client. To manage these booking alongside main event, in scenario that main event date changes. To represent Searcys in a professional manner to both Searcys colleagues and clients alike, either at work or at an external work-related activity To conduct show around with clients in conjunction with other departments when necessary (ie AV). To be aware of what is contracted and maximise upselling during show around. To greet your client on arrival and make sure introductions to the Ops team are made. To comply with all legal requirements with particular reference to (but not exclusively) fire regulations, security, licence requirements and any Local Authority or Client stipulations. To ensure all Health, Hygiene and Safety requirements are being adhered to as described in the Searcy Health & Safety Policy. To carry out any other reasonable duties as required to achieve the objectives and targets of the sales and events team.
