Ricoh is currently recruiting for a Pre-Sales Architect who ideally will be a highly experienced Technical Audio Visual and Video Conferencing (AV/Collaboration) professional, to work closely with the sales team on international Communication Services (CS) opportunities within corporate and retail verticals and assist in closing deals.

What you will be doing
* Designing Audio Visual and Video Conferencing (AV/VC) Systems designs & technical proposals, gathered through direct liaison with customers to meet their technical specifications/requirements or project briefs.
* Create well-engineered and streamlined Bill of Materials (BoM), prepared ready for pricing by sales or support teams.
* Be able to reverse-engineer competitor’s brief/technical proposals, re-design or meet RFI, RFPs or other system functionality to produce performance details and competitive design proposal(s).
* Produce system schematics, rack layouts, cabling spreadsheets, room layouts and coordination diagrams using AutoCAD/D-tools/Visio etc. as well as marking up ‘as built’ drawings as required.
* Provide technical support to the sales/pricing team, such as: supporting proposal and RFI, RFP submissions, helping them with understanding system designs and product functionality or helping to upskill them with general AV/VC knowledge.
* Attend key manufacturer new product/technology training courses as they become available/necessary while holding required certifications, qualifications and/or passing exams as required by the business or our vendors.
* Attend customer design workshops/consultations and provide technical clarification where required (internal and externally), estimates for: engineering, commissioning, installation, labour etc., plus providing approval for opportunity sign-off for BOMs/proposals.
You will ideally have
* Ideally, candidates will be educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification, in Engineering or equivalent (any discipline) with proven previous experience in a similar role with an AV/VC integrator or AV/VC Consultancy.
* Successful candidates will have extensive knowledge of AV/VC (unified communications, video, audio, control, switching and routing of signals as well as AV VC over IP). Plus, strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly O365, OneDrive, PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
* Candidates will also have familiarity with AutoCAD LT 2014-2016, MSFT Visio and D-Tools.
* Preferably, candidates will have a proven background of working in pre-sales process/delivery, incorporating pre-sales site visits, RFI, RFP reviews, tender or panel short-list interviews, responses to clarification and/or design changes.
* Ideally, you will be highly motivated with good time management and prioritisation skills and can identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement.
* Any qualifications/certifications in industry-recognised vendors such as: Microsoft MCE, MSFT Teams architect, AVIXA’s: CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I, Extron: EAVA, DTP/XTP/AIP/designer, Poly: PCVE, Cisco: ATP (ITS/ITSI) or CCNA/CCND, Crestron: CAP/DM/designer, AMX: ACE/designer, Q-SYS, BiAMP, Dante Designer would be a distinct advantage.
* Successful candidates will be fluent in English, spoken and written, with any other language skills an advantage.
