We are recruiting a Solar Energy Account Executive for the leading global provider of affordable clean solar energy.

Qualifications:
* 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, preferably within the solar or renewable energy industry.
* Other industries preferred would be building services, industrial sales, capital project sales, energy brokers, or commercial real estate
* Commercial acumen, understanding of the sales process and what is necessary to win, forge relationships, drive leads, and manage deal closure.
* Local knowledge and experience of business in your geographic region. Demonstrable empathy and understanding of the needs of local businesses and skilled at shaping those needs to identify win-win opportunities, through localised sales plans.
* A strong willingness to put in the effort, engage in in-person customer meetings, take ownership of customer solutions, and collaborate with the team to deliver successful projects.
* Transferable knowledge of the commercial building market, regulation, and relevant industrial verticals.
* Ability to understand and communicate the technical aspects of solar energy systems and their financial benefits.
* Experience and proficiency in using a CRM - ideally HubSpot.
* Highly organised and thrives in a busy hybrid working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prospecting and Planning:
* Develop and execute tailored annual sales plans, continuously enhancing your knowledge of industry trends, sectors, and our product offerings.
* Collaborate closely with our marketing team to develop targeted prospecting strategies.
* Be prepared to spend a significant amount of time out on the road, meeting with customers.
* Engage with stakeholders at various organisational levels, from the factory floor to the boardroom, to articulate our value proposition effectively.
2. Progression and Performance:
* Manage regional sales execution, from prospecting, lead generation, and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
* Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring consistent deal flow.
* Conduct site evaluations, financial analyses, and ROI assessments to provide tailored energy solutions to clients.
* Consistently meet and exceed monthly sales goals, maintaining a strong focus on key performance metrics.
* Actively network and attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the company and generate leads.
* Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers in target organisations.
* Establish trust and credibility by educating clients on the financial and environmental benefits of solar energy.
3. Operational Excellence:
* Manage customer and deal information meticulously within our CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
* Provide accurate pipeline reporting and contribute to sales forecasting.
* Lead by example, setting high standards for performance, professionalism, and customer engagement.
* Work cross-functionally with Commercial, Operations, Marketing, and other teams to ensure seamless project execution and customer onboarding.
