We are looking for a Restaurant Team Leader to oversee our vibrant catering team at a large leisure facility. This role is perfect for someone with a bright personality who can create a warm and welcoming environment for both kids and adults. The Restaurant Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of catering assistants in a high-volume outlet.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Lead and manage the team of catering assistants to ensure efficient and effective operation of the restaurant.
* Foster a friendly and inviting atmosphere, making all guests feel welcomed and valued.
* Coordinate with the kitchen and other departments to ensure seamless service and prompt response to guest needs.
* Train and mentor team members, setting performance standards and monitoring progress.
* Handle scheduling and manage staff rosters to cover peak times effectively.
* Oversee the maintenance and presentation of the restaurant area to meet health and safety standards.
* Address and resolve any issues related to customer service or team performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality or catering industry.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining positive relations with both guests and staff.
* Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management and staff development.
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
* Problem-solving skills and the capability to make quick decisions under pressure.
