Location: Nottingham Area (Must be living in the UK)
Position: Consultant Psychiatrist
Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours
Salary: Starting salary of £185,000 per annum (DOE)
Contract: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a leading provider of behavioural care and specialist support services to adults and younger people.
Your role:
1. Understand the issues, handle complex information, and formulate management of the relative effectiveness and side-effects of medication and therapy as they apply to individual patients.
2. Assessment of referrals/admissions.
3. Care plan and treatment formulation.
4. Guidance on evidence-based treatment and effectiveness.
5. Liaison and collaborative working with other services/agencies.
6. Mental Health Act implementation.
7. Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients.
8. Diagnose and treat mental illnesses and disorders.
9. Develop and implement treatment plans.
10. Prescribe and monitor medications.
11. Provide therapy and counselling to patients.
12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
13. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
You will be the clinical lead of the team and ensure high-quality, patient-centred, effective, safe, and efficient care is delivered by your teams.
We require the following attributes:
1. Valid GMC registration
2. Excellent communication skills
3. Evidence of post-registration
4. Excellent knowledge of the Mental Health Act & Code of Practice.
5. Previous experience as a consultant
6. CCST/CCT or equivalent in the relevant areas of psychiatry.
7. Previous experience at consultant level within the NHS
8. Ability to conduct training.
You will be expected to:
1. Participate in the on-call rota.
2. Fulfil the role of responsible/Approved clinician to patients.
3. Work in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
