Primary Purpose: The Senior Manager will join the Accounting team for a 12-month FTC to oversee the accounting function for the European Tapestry business. Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting, the Senior Manager will lead and mentor a team of three, act as the point of contact for Europe accounting matters, and work cross-functionally to monitor controls, key processes and seek improvement opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the Tapestry Europe Accounting function and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and manage the financial close process.
* Partner with the Business Development team to review new store openings/closures and all monthly changes to leases.
* Support ongoing statutory audits and manage auditor requests.
* Develop strong cross-functional relationships with FP&A, Legal, and Global Accounting teams.
* Support the wider Finance Control team with ongoing projects and initiatives.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum of 5 years+ accounting experience at multinational public company.
* Previous experience in retail or multi-site business is preferred.
* Experience in Excel & SAP; Tririga & Blackline is a plus.
* Strong technical accounting skills; experience with US GAAP is preferred.
* Experience with lease accounting (either in industry or practice).
* Self-starter, highly motivated, and strong attention to detail.
* Ability to multi-task, highly organized, and flexible to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
* Ability to perform critical analysis and thinking, prioritize and problem solve.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* European language skills are a plus.
