The Role
Reporting to one of our Quality Managers, you will be part of the Quality Control team responsible for grading internally produced products and raw ingredients, monitoring and replying to customer complaints, and trending lab results over time. This is a great opportunity for an individual to take on a new challenge, build on their current experience, and develop themselves across different areas of the factory.
This is a full-time role based at our headquarters in Kendal. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 37.5 hours per week, from 08:00 - 16:00.
What You'll Be Doing
* Record and advise on chemistry and microbiological testing results
* Product grading
* Raw material grading
* Managing and responding to customer complaints
* Managing and escalating vendor/supplier complaints
* Integral member of the internal audit team
* Handling and investigating CAPAs
* Tracking bypass rates
* Writing and tracking quality concessions
* Environmental clean sign off
* Trending results over time and reporting to the Quality Manager
* Complying with safety and hygiene procedures including but not limited to: adopting safe working practices, wearing the required protective clothing, and using safety equipment appropriate to the role

* Have excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft.

What We'd Like You To Have
* BSc in Food Science/Technology or similar subject.
* Experience in a Quality Assurance role is highly desirable.
* Experience of working within the consumer goods/manufacturing industry.
* Knowledge of BRC, regulatory, and customer requirements is desirable.
