Help to develop paperwork systems linked to operational processes (risk assessments, SOP's)
•Travel between the sites in your region to perform inspections and support on programmes where required.
•Support WHS and RME linked to building upgrades and changes linked to works involving contractors and other programmes of work.
•Use internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety related decisions
•Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies
•Above-average willingness to travel within the covered region
This is an extremely varied role, you will be based at one of the sites in the region but will be required to travel weekly around the other sites where required.
You’ll will work with WHS, supporting RME and sites to help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements.
Our team works with managers, associates and local governments across our sites, making sure we’re complying with Amazon’s policies and legal regulations, and that our workplaces are safe.
You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.
We utilise creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to get millions of physical products into the hands of our customers. Our goal is to make our customers’ delivery experience as smooth as possible and roll out global delivery solutions for our newest concepts, like Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and Amazon Restaurants.
Our team is people-focused and supportive, particularly as lots of our people work through the night. We focus mostly on operations, with 24/7 shifts in most of our locations.
Meanwhile, our ‘on the road’ people work with Amazon Flex - a network of delivery contractors. Every year, we continually raise the bar for customer experience with new, innovative delivery services. Education to a degree level and additional qualifications to an NVQ5/NEBOSH Diploma level
•Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics
•Relevant experience managing projects
•Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
•Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English
•Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability
•Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
•Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
