Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. This position requires a proactive individual who can communicate effectively, supervise care plans, and contribute to the overall well-being of our senior residents.
Responsibilities
1. Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
2. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual resident needs.
3. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
4. Supervise and guide junior staff or volunteers within the care home environment.
5. Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any changes in condition to senior staff.
6. Drive initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents through engaging activities and companionship.
7. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to within the care home.
Skills
1. Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents and their families.
2. Leadership abilities to supervise and mentor junior staff effectively.
3. Experience or knowledge in developing and implementing care plans for seniors.
4. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation.
5. A genuine drive to provide compassionate care in a senior living environment.
6. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated team while also being self-motivated.
