The department
The IT Team is responsible for all aspects of IT across the business, covering User Support, Infrastructure, Security, Data and Development Teams.
Purpose of job
The IT Procurement Administrator is to support the Head of IT by playing a pivotal role in managing the procurement of IT Hardware, Software and Services for the organisation.
Accountabilities
1. Procurement Management:
o Oversee the procurement process for IT equipment and services, including sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
o Maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate contracts and pricing.
o Assist in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM).
2. Budget Management:
o Monitor and manage the IT procurement budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing.
3. Compliance:
o Ensure all procurement activities comply with organizational policies and industry regulations.
4. Documentation:
o Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory.
o Work closely with IT and finance teams to align procurement activities with organizational goals.
The candidate
* Strong understanding of IT systems and infrastructure.
* Awareness of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ITIL Framework.
* Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
* Ability to manage budgets and financial records.
* Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
