Purpose of Role: The Application Support Lead is responsible for maintaining and continually improving the operational performance of our platform applications. They will monitor, troubleshoot and resolve application support issues and prioritise system enhancements to improve operational performance. In addition, the Application Support Lead will play a key role in managing production releases, ensuring that system changes align with operational needs and are deployed and communicated optimally. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and a deep understanding of business processes and their interaction with the application stack. The ideal candidate must be proactive in identifying root causes, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions in collaboration with the platform operations, IT infrastructure and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities: Business Process Understanding Develop a strong understanding of Fundment’s business processes, financial workflows, and operational needs. Use this knowledge to support and troubleshoot application-related issues effectively. Jobs Monitoring Oversee scheduled jobs including mission critical start/end of day jobs, ensuring smooth execution and troubleshooting failures promptly. Technical Support & Issue Resolution Act as the first line of support, diagnosing and resolving application incidents using existing tools and methodologies, conducting root cause analysis and escalating when necessary. Change & Release Management Work with engineering and infrastructure to coordinate application changes and production releases, ensuring smooth rollouts with minimal business impact. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing Maintain troubleshooting guides, known issue logs, and business process documentation to improve support efficiency. Application Monitoring & Continuous Improvement Continuously improve application monitoring, incident response and application behaviour to reduce application support tickets. Requirements: 5 years in application support or production support roles, with experience managing cloud-based applications. Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and resolve issues in a timely manner. Experience supporting business-critical applications, preferably in financial technology or a regulated environment. Experience supporting web front-end applications using browser development tools Experience supporting cloud-based applications using cloud logs and monitoring tools SQL – strong experience in writing queries to troubleshoot issues Nice to haves: Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience – VM, Cloud Run, Logs, Pub/Sub, Monitoring Incident management apps like Jira Monitoring and Orchestration tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Kestra or Airflow Scripting experience to automate repetitive tasks Experience with Docker/Docker-compose/Kubernetes Understanding of basic networking Why Join us at Fundment?
