Engineering Team Lead | Maintenance | Sutton Coldfield | Up to £40,000 depending on experience, plus on call payments and enhancements | Full Time Monday – Friday plus on call | Permanent.
Spire Little Aston Hospital is looking for an experienced maintenance engineer to join their team. This would suit someone with a background in engineering, electrical, maintenance, or building service management. We offer training where necessary in specific hospital systems.
The position is 37.5 hours per week working Monday – Friday between 8am and 5pm plus regular on call requirements.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Deputise in the absence of the Engineering Manager, attending meetings and managing the team while confidently handling situations as they arise.
* Responsible for the health and safety of various systems throughout the hospital.
* Maintain building services, building fabric, and all equipment in a cost-effective manner, ensuring compliance with all current national legislation and Spire policies. Maintain a safe environment for all staff, patients, and visitors.
* Provide planned and preventative maintenance, as well as reactive maintenance for all equipment, grounds, and fabric within the hospital.
* Analyse faulty equipment, conduct onsite repairs, and liaise closely with specialist contractors.
Skills/qualifications we're looking for:
* Apprenticeship or bachelor’s qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Previous experience working as an engineer in a healthcare setting would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
* Extensive knowledge of building services and maintenance of various systems.
* 2 years’ experience in building services management.
* Hold relevant certificates or be willing to undertake specialist training in specific areas.
