St Andrew’s Healthcare is a charity providing specialist mental healthcare services. We work in partnership with various NHS, voluntary, educational, and research organisations to deliver a range of specialist inpatient and community mental healthcare services, education, and research that helps improve the lives of people with complex mental health needs.
Our Divisions
Low Secure Service: Our aim is to provide high-quality assessment, care, and treatment, helping patients progress to the least restrictive setting by equipping them with the skills required to live as independently as possible, closer to communities of their choosing.
Our teams are multi-disciplinary, with extensive knowledge, skills, and experience of working with individuals with:
* Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD) with co-morbid Disordered Eating
* Mental illness for male/female adults and older adults
* PICU treating acute admissions to stabilise and step down to a low secure environment
The Medium Secure Mental Health Division provides mental healthcare to adult (including older adults) males and females across a spectrum of specialist mental disorders: mental illness, personality disorder, borderline or mild learning disability, acquired brain injury, mental disorder, and deafness. We provide care to those who need the relational, physical, and procedural security of a medium secure unit, in line with the National Medium Secure Specifications from NHS England.
We are also providing a Blended Secure Service for Women as part of a national pilot, meeting a draft service specification linked to the main medium secure service specification. Our aim is to help patients recover so they can be treated in lower levels of security and eventually in the community.
CAMHS (Child Adolescents Mental Health Services) Service: Our CAMHS is a Trauma Informed Care Service, ensuring that everything we do is driven by an understanding of how trauma affects the whole person; physically, mentally, and socially. We provide low and medium secure Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient services, with the objective of enabling young people to live well and to their full potential in the least restrictive environment possible.
ASD/LD (Autism Spectrum Disorder / Learning Disability): Our goal is to provide high-quality assessment, care, and treatment, helping patients progress to the least restrictive setting by equipping them with the skills required to live as independently as possible, closer to communities of their choosing. Our teams are multi-disciplinary with extensive knowledge, skills, and experience of working with individuals with ASD and learning disabilities.
Neuropsychiatry Service Division: This is a specialist service delivering tailored care to support people with complex, acquired, and progressive brain conditions. Our services deliver tailored care for patients with acquired brain injury, complex dementia, and Huntington’s disease. Holistic therapeutic interventions are used to address the Neuropsychiatric sequelae of these conditions, as well as the co-morbid physical health consequences.
You will be working alongside like-minded professionals who share your commitment to outcomes-focused, individualized care. We aspire to deliver truly world-class results, so standards are high, and there’s a big emphasis on innovation and best practice.
