Requirements
You will have 60 relevant credit points towards the first year of a social work degree (one of HNC in social care or social sciences, K100, K101 or DD100).
Responsibilities
You will provide supervisory and support services and carry a caseload of appropriate cases. Work alongside and under the direction of a senior or professionally qualified worker to carry out specific tasks.
The Individual
You will have experience of working with people with mental health needs and be understanding of issues which affect those individuals, their families, and carers. You will have good oral and written communication skills, as well as being reliable with good planning and organizational skills. A commitment to maintaining high standards of care is essential. You will be able to work flexibly between 8 am and 8 pm. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
