RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our UK agency is recruiting for a new collaborator as a HVAC Engineer M/F to provide a technical overseeing to the HVAC equipment contract for Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C.
The position will be based in Bristol, in a permanent contract.
* Supporting the equipment section of the team
* Serving as the representative of the Responsible Designer HVAC contract team in various meetings with NNB and the supplier.
* Reporting on the progress of equipement technical open points during fortnightly dedicated meetings with the contractor and our client.
* Monitoring contractor's deliverables related to handover activities (Seismic calculation notes, HVAC Release Report, and HVAC database)
* Perform reviews of supplier documents related to Instrumentation & Control scope.
* Coordinating and conducting technical assessments of the impacts of CCRs (Contractor Change Requests)
* Managing the processing of modifications, including monitoring progress, using performance indicators, and generating reports when needed.
BACKGROUND AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Mechanical, Nuclear Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience of system engineering, layout engineering or relevant experience.
* Knowledge of HVAC system and equipment sizing (AHU, fans, filters, water coils)
* Knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers
* HVAC knowledge of Pressurised Water Reactor system design principles
* Knowledge of nuclear safety classification
* Ability to effectively manage own and team’s workload to meet the deadlines and KPI forecast.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to communicate clearly and accurately, both written and orally, in English
