Position: Registered Manager (Ofsted)
Service Users: Children (7 to 18 years) with EBD
Location: Chorley, Manchester
Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 4 pm
Annual Leave: 6 weeks per year, plus statutory bank holidays
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE + up to £10,000 in bonuses

Your Role
As a Registered Manager, you'll lead the delivery of exceptional care and support for young people, aligning with our values to create a nurturing environment tailored to each child's needs. You'll also support your team to ensure high standards are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the smooth operation of the residential home in line with legislation, policies, and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
* Lead a compassionate team to create a safe, supportive environment for children and young people.
* Develop and implement personalized care plans.
* Guide and support your care team, maintaining high standards of care.
* Collaborate with Clinical Psychologists to implement evidence-based interventions.
* Support young people in engaging with therapies, education, and life skills development.
* Participate in the recruitment process, including vetting, interviewing, and inducting new employees.
What You Need
* A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services or equivalent, or a willingness to work towards it.
* Senior-level experience in a Residential Children’s Home.
* Full manual driving licence.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development to support young people's needs.
Daily Responsibilities
* Manage individual and team performance to ensure excellent service delivery.
* Monitor budgets and expenses, ensuring financial responsibility.
* Foster positive relationships with care teams, young people, and stakeholders.
* Maintain high standards of living conditions.
* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and high-quality record-keeping.
* Collaborate with internal and external professionals to meet young people’s care needs.
* Oversee clinical practices and medication processes.
* Manage daily routines and programs for young people.
* Handle budgets, transportation, timekeeping, sickness, and annual leave.
* Conduct Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 audits/reviews.
* Support out-of-hours assistance.
* Manage team schedules, training, and care team meetings, including minute-taking.
* Develop COSHH, Risk Assessments, and Health & Safety procedures.
* Assist HR with interviews and lead the induction process for new carers.
* Provide monthly supervision and annual appraisals for care teams.
* Attend Home Manager's training and meetings.
* Participate in disciplinary procedures.
* Provide an annual home development review report.
* Maintain a professional appearance and continuously develop your skills.
