SEN Teacher Bridgend
Cardiff Full Time
Pay - Starting from £166.32 day
Teaching Personnel is looking for a proactive and experienced teacher to join a local SEN school on a full-time basis to support through all the classes in the school.
The school caters for children with additional learning needs based in Bridgend for pupils aged 3 – 19. The needs of the children can vary, including: Social, Emotional, Mental Health Difficulties (SEMH), Autism, Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
To apply for this position, you must be a Qualified Teacher and demonstrate a genuine passion for supporting pupils with SEN. Ideally, the Teacher will have experience of working within a special school; however, this is not essential if you can demonstrate a genuine passion and commitment for supporting pupils with SEN. This would be an ideal opportunity to consider whether working within SEN schools is the right route for you.
The school is looking for a SEN Teacher to deliver a variety of lessons that ensure the curriculum is covered while allowing for creativity and improvisation depending on the needs of the children. The class sizes will be small, with only about 8-10 pupils in one class. The lessons will need to be very interactive, as the young people who attend this school require a multi-sensory approach to education, ensuring all individuals can access the curriculum in a way that best suits them.
To be considered for this position, the Teacher will need to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the importance of differentiation and assure that learning is accessible to all pupils.
The Ideal SEN Teacher will have:
* Qualified Teacher Status with extensive experience with pupils with SEN. The school is happy to support you in your induction to special educational needs.
* A pro-active approach to education and a willingness to get involved with the wider staff team.
* A commitment to supporting SEN pupils in achieving their optimal potential.
* An understanding of how to adapt lessons to ensure that learning is accessible to all pupils.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
Please apply with your up-to-date CV, and I will be in contact.
