THE POSITION Brand Manager - Equine You will shape and develop highly effective brand strategies and execute tactical marketing plans to ensure the achievement of market share, sales and profitability targets of core focus brands within a given expenditure level and timescale. You will discover and act on market information, help BI to become the preferred partner for our customers, and ensure that the respective brand achieves sustained market-leading performance. This is a Head Office Based role requiring a minimum 2 days per week in Bracknell TASK & RESPONSIBILITES • Lead on the development and implementation of tactical marketing plan and product related communication, aligned with global as appropriate. Ensure that the marketing mix (product, pricing, placement, promotion) plan and tactics are adequately adapted to each sales channel's requirements, including online. • Liaise with other sales and marketing colleagues as necessary to ensure fit of activities into the sales activity plan. Roll out activities to colleagues and ensure understanding of activity. Monitor and review success of activities. Adapt marketing activities where appropriate. • Produce accurate and timely forecasts, budgets and market share information in consultation with the management team and sales force. Operate the necessary control/feedback mechanisms and recommend timely and appropriate action to achieve marketing and financial objectives. • Produce and present Brand & Business reviews to Senior Management, including Regional Marketing. • Maintain required knowledge of the market and competitor activities. Produce frequent market reports and competitor analysis information. Instigate relevant activities as necessary. • Further develop the Company and brand image though building positive relationships with relevant external bodies, key influencers and opinion leaders within the industry and profession, addressing meetings and attending conferences and general ‘customer liaison’ at all levels. REQUIREMENTS • Marketing Qualification or a Degree Level Qualification • Strong commercial focus • Relevant market experience essential, including Digital • In depth knowledge and experience of complex brand management • Proven experience of managing budgets • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to juggle deadlines and multi-task • Knowledge of different marketing channels and tactics and the merits and drawbacks of each • Cross-function project leadership including experience of complex projects (e.g. launches, channel changes, re-positioning) • Highly creative and takes the initiative • Excellent communication and influencing skills WHY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO WORK Boehringer Ingelheim has been recognised as a Top Employer in the UK.
