In this role you will play a pivotal role in supporting the STEP Environmental Lead to ensure full environmental compliance at the site: overseeing and ensuring that all site characterisation and other activities comply with environmental regulations, standards, and best practices. Additional Responsibilities Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Identify and document any potential environmental hazards or breaches of compliance. Review Contractor work plans to ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, standards and best practices. Ensure all site activities comply with local and National environmental laws and regulations. Prepare detailed reports on environmental performance and incidents, and communicate findings to the Site Manager and Environmental Technical Lead. Assist in the preparation of environmental compliance documentation. Provide guidance and advice to the site team(s) on environmental best practices and sustainability measures. Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate environmental impacts. Maintain accurate records of all environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and compliance reports. Ensure all environmental documentation is up to date and readily accessible. Provide guidance and advice to the site team(s) on environmental best practices and sustainability measures.
