Do you prefer to be outside instead of behind a desk Medway Council are seeking an experienced Security Systems Technician to join our Technology Division. The ideal candidate will have expertise in IP CCTV installations. You should have a solid understanding of CCTV systems design in line with British Standards (BS8418) and be knowledgeable about risk mitigation. You must be adept at both the physical installation and the configuration of CCTV systems, with the ability to customise solutions to meet specific client needs. Key responsibilities include: Installing and commissioning of CCTV systems on behalf of the Council and their partners. Visiting sites predominately across Medway, but also other parts of Kent Preforming maintenance, undertaking biannual PPM and troubleshooting on CCTV systems Site attendance, fault finding, estimating repair requirement(s), fault diagnosis and repair calls. Orchestrating civil works to facilitate CCTV repair(s) and/or commissioning of new sites. Timely completion of all work documentation Take responsibility for the overall quality of work delivered on site Support customers’ requests in a timely and professional manner Conducting stock checks, replacing items and maintaining accurate records Presenting the Council in a professional manner at all times on site and on the road; and ensuring all works are carried out in a safe and proper manner. Other duties may be required to be undertaken within the scope of this post as and when required by the Head of Technology.
