To sustain this Transformation Journey the role will be essential to establish a Regional Factory Master Data Organization and Network that will implement and execute data management best practices on an ongoing basis, build the capabilities across people, processes, technology & data to improve the effectiveness & efficiency of the day-to-day master data management supporting innovation & renovation projects and thereby segments' growth across Europe. The role is a key stakeholder for understanding our internal data and analytics requirements to support operational processes, translating these into relevant data business priorities and defining the appropriate MDM strategy with the global domain owners, the global data governance team and the data stewardship organization with the objective of continuously evolving the business based on industry requirements and standards. What are we looking for? University Degree in Business administration or Engineering, information technology or similar Language skills: Fluent in English (excellent written and oral skills). Other languages are beneficial. Essential Requirements: Substantial experience (>10 years) in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or Master Data Management, Data Quality Management and/or Data Governance preferable within the FMCG environment, including familiarity with one or more master data domains (Customer, Product, Finance or Vendor). Demonstrated Leadership skills, proven effectiveness in working, influencing and aligning stakeholders across segments, functions and different job levels in a corporate environment on regional level. Experienced and capable to envision, model and optimize complex, yet efficient business processes, data- and workflows and implement them. Strong Business acumen and knowledge of the FMCG Industry, experience in another function is beneficial. In-depth experience in managing and directing remote teams, preferred around executing data operations. What will be your key responsibilities? The European Factory MDM Director serves as a trusted leader of the MDM Factory organisation and is accountable for proper data governance and controls as well as delivering master data excellence for factory operations. The role is enabling a digitised information flow for connected and resilient regional and local supply chain networks to support the areas of cost, overheads, inventory management and sustainability. Key responsibilities include: Building a strong, capable and trusted MDM factory organisation by applying a holistic approach to manufacturing master data management, ensuring data quality and integrity and promoting a data-driven culture within the organisation. Leading, and developing a high performing MDM team with the right skills and capabilities. Owning the talent pipeline and succession planning for the MDM factory team. Identifying opportunities and developing a relevant, inspiring and compelling vision to step-change efficiency and effectiveness for the factory related MDM area and engaging key stakeholders behind this vision. Breaking down the MDM vision into relevant R&D and factory initiatives, designing and shaping the standardisation and digital transformation strategy and roadmap and providing recommendations on prioritisation based on their value creation potential, overall benefits and how to bring those to life, to the business leadership teams. Deploying the MDM Strategy through a holistic focus on behavioural changes, process changes, and exploration, as well as the implementation of new technologies and tools, taking all Master Data requirements into account. Driving harmonisation and consolidation of data operations and standardisation to transform, automate, and digitise data for efficiency and continuous improvement of processes, tools and ways of working across the MDM Department and collaborating with the EU MDM Market Director and the EU Data Steward Lead but also with the counterparts in the other regions. Establishing effective data governance principles and guidelines for data handling across factories to protect integrity of our data eco-system and implementing robust Data Quality Management to support efficient operations by eliminating data redundancies, facilitating streamlined data management, and improving the precision of analytics and forecasting. Interacting with the various internal business stakeholders including and not limited to Plant and Activity Managers, S&OP, Finance, Commercial and Supply Chain Heads in the region, as well as the regional and global peers in the MDM organisation, to manage capacities and leverage the benefits of global data integration, harmonisation, and analytics while accommodating specific local requirements to foster collaboration, agility, and responsiveness, driving efficiency and innovation across the organisation.
