Understanding of Assay Offices' aims and objectives, understanding of the purpose of hallmarking, and understanding the purpose and scope of sampling articles prior to hallmarking.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting to pack and unpack items to be marked onto trays.
* Receiving, preparing, testing, marking, or packing articles submitted for hallmarking.
* Applying current hallmarking legislation in relation to approving or rejecting articles for hallmarking at submitted fineness.
* Diligent interpretation of customer instructions.
* Understanding of the construction of articles to facilitate handling, testing, and marking of items.
* Complying with current ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 requirements.
* Complying with your team's current methods of working.
* Actively contributing to improving own quality and that of your team.
* Actively contributing to improving own productivity and that of your team.
* Correct use and maintenance of all tools and equipment.
* Interpreting test results correctly.
* Adhering to safe working practices at all times.
* Being conscious of the security of articles.
* Carrying out priorities and requirements of the Supervisor.
Be willing to undertake other roles, subject to suitable training/ability, and willing to work at sub-offices as required.
