Role Overview This role is key to supporting creation of a global marketing strategy for IMI instrumentation, pulling together multiple different brands and sites to form a cohesive direction for the team. This person will help create new digital material and social media content to aid our customers understanding of our new division, creating customer personas in different regions and markets, and assist coordinating external support to develop content. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Digital Marketing Specialist will enable the 5yr strategy to be implemented, by creating compelling social media content, editorial, new tools, support material and marcomms campaigns for customer retention, new business development and key product launches globally. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be expected to work closely with all manufacturing and sales locations in IMI Instrumentation and support the global strategy to be implemented locally. They will work closely with the IMI Marketing team who can provide direction and structure on branding, publications, e-commerce, etc. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be an ambassador and role model for IMI Instrumentation and must act with integrity and in accordance with company policies at all times. Key Responsibilities The Digital Marketing Specialist will be a confident, persuasive marketer. The core function will be to support the Marketing Manager and the Business Development Director with the coordination and execution of the marketing funnel, aligned with IMI Instrumentation business goals. Key duties will include (but not be limited to): Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube) working with our Social Media Manager. Create compelling posts, ads, and stories to enhance brand visibility and engagement. Analyse social media performance and provide actionable recommendations. Utilise social media analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or native platform analytics) to monitor performance, optimise engagement, and report on ROI. Email Marketing: Design and implement segmented email campaigns in conjunction with our Marketing Automation Manager. Optimise campaigns through A/B testing and performance analysis to improve engagement and conversions. Analyse email campaign performance and provide actionable insights for improvement. Content Creation and management: Produce and manage high-quality content for blogs, case studies, newsletters, and website updates in conjunction with our content team. Ensure content aligns with SEO best practices and brand guidelines. Collaborate with in-house designers to create visual assets. Use tools like WordPress for website content updates, ensuring pages are SEO-optimised. Campaign Performance and Analytics: Track and report campaign effectiveness using tools like Google Analytics and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. Provide data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders. SEO and Paid Media: Conduct keyword research and implement on-page and off-page SEO strategies, in conjunction with our web team. Optimise web content for organic search and implement link-building strategies. Manage PPC campaigns on Google Ads and other platforms, optimising for ROI. Event and Campaign Support: Plan and coordinate marketing activities for trade shows, webinars, and exhibitions. Oversee the production of marketing collateral ensuring consistency with brand and editorial guidelines. Critical Competencies for Success Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field experience. Demonstratable experience in a digital marketing role, ideally in B2B or industrial/manufacturing sectors. Proven experience managing multiple projects, external vendors, and cross-functional teams. Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail. Familiar with tools like WordPress/similar CMS tools: Pardot, Google Analytics, and SEMrush. Familiar with marketing automation and lead-nurturing workflows. Ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights. Strong computer literate skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher or similar) – In addition to core social media/web content software desirables (see below). Desirable Competencies for Success Membership of appropriate professional body e.g., CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) Knowledge of engineered products or manufacturing processes. Experience of managing external agencies/third-party suppliers. Familiar with Design & Content Creation tools: Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Canva, and basic video editing (e.g., Premiere Pro or CapCut).
