The Role
Within our warehouse, we require a dedicated Team Leader to oversee and manage tasks assigned to them primarily from the Warehouse Manager & Head of Operations, ensuring processes are adhered to and compliant to meet business requirements.
The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring that orders are shipped on time and accurately.
Works effectively and efficiently in a despatch and warehouse environment to ensure sales orders are completed in the timeframe required, including developing a working knowledge of the warehouse. Works with the relevant departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation which can fulfil operational and customer demand and meet set targets
* Ensure new Warehouse operatives are trained within area of responsibility
* Ensure inventories in area of responsibility are accurate
* Ensure stock movements are recorded accurately
* Ensure that any computerised or automated systems are accurate and up to date
* Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level
* Produce regular reports and statistics as and when required
* Review ways to reduce waste
* Assist in planning future capacity requirements
* Ensure that health and safety meet’s the required standards and carry out risk assessments
* Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
* Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse
* Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency People Management
* Efficiently works within a busy dispatch department
* Picks & packs if required while maintaining department schedule
* Effectively uses organisation systems and warehouse technology to locate and gather stock
* Accurately updates spreadsheets and keeps organised dispatch records for KPIs
* Creates shipping labels and handles dispatch information
* Action failed labels
* Sends booking requests to carriers
* Problem solves and liaises with Customer Services about delayed orders, issue orders
* Performs administrative duties like answering phones, updating records, and providing excellent customer service
* Troubleshoots dispatch issues and customer issues that pop up regularly; works to solve these administrative or organisational problems to increase warehouse and dispatch efficiency through continuous improvement
* Works well with the Warehouse Outbound Team to complete orders on time
* Allocation of sales orders
* Organise replenishment requirements

* Ensure sales orders are clear with the support of the Warehouse Leadership Team
People Management:
* Manage time and attendance for operatives within area of responsibility and support the Warehouse Manager with people management issues
* Communicate with staff on a regular basis to make them aware of priorities, targets, operational requirements
* Support and monitor performance and progress to ensure targets are met
* Report progress updates, key achievements, any concerns to the Warehouse Manager.

Benefits
* Full-Time Employment – Permanent
* Grade C2 – £28,500 to £31,000 after a successful probation
* Sunday - 08:00 to 16:30 & Monday to Thursday - 09:30 to 18:30
* A minimum expectancy of 40 hours per week. Additional working hours, including weekends required when necessary to meet operational requirements
