An exciting opportunity has arisen for a consultant post with sub-specialty interest in Hand Surgery within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service in NHS Lanarkshire.
Main Duties of the Role
1. To provide inpatient and outpatient Orthopaedic services.
2. To provide additional support to the Hand service.

NHS Lanarkshire is an innovative health board serving a population of 650,000 with 3 acute hospitals. We seek to appoint a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in hand surgery to join our multidisciplinary team. The post includes full commitment to adult and paediatric trauma in the Wishaw Trauma Unit, part of the West of Scotland Major Trauma Network. There is also an opportunity to develop a full elective practice at the other acute hospitals in Lanarkshire, with a dedicated elective unit at Hairmyres Hospital.
The job is offered as a full-time post on a 10 PA basis (including up to 2 non-DCC), but applications will be considered from those wishing to work less than full-time. If full-time, up to 2 EPAs may be available for additional clinical activity.
