Our client, UK’s leading premier car transporter manufacturer, is recruiting for role of plasma/machine operator. Based in Gosfield near Braintree in Essex in our client’s purpose-built facilities and powered by renewable energy. Location: Gosfield, Essex Permanent, 40 hours per week Working Hours: 7.30 until 16.30 Mon to Thurs – 07.30 until 13.30 Friday. Overtime available. OVERVIEW OF ROLE Our client is looking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join their manufacturing team. The job will primarily be using the Plasma machine to fulfil orders, loading and offloading sheets of metal to the machine and then passing on to other members of staff as appropriate. It may also include day-to-day duties within the factory. Job Description: Run and maintain the plasma cutting machine. · Cut out all jobs so the factory can then shape and form ducts from the flat sheet cut outs. Carefully load and offload metal sheets to the plasma machine bed. Label the metal parts as they are cut from the printouts provided. Deliver cut outs from the plasma to the machines that they are required at carefully but efficiently. Cleaning the machine when there is quieter time. · Keeping stock metal neatly in place ready to be used. Excellent attitude to work and Health & Safety processes is essential. Excellent time and attendance record.THE ROLE Working in a busy processing area requires a good all-round knowledge of plasma machine operation and other machines including brake press and saws and guillotine. SKILLS REQUIRED Skill in operating CNC plasma machines and understanding of consumables as well as basic measurement tools Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and drawings Experience/Requirements Previous working experience in engineering/sheet metal environment is essential Good communication skills liaising with other departments.
