Protocol Education is looking for a caring and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join a warm and welcoming team at a day nursery in Chelmsford. If you're passionate about providing high-quality care and early education to young children and enjoy helping them explore, learn, and grow, this is the role for you!
As a Nursery Practitioner, you’ll work with a team of childcare professionals to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. You’ll be supporting the daily care, learning, and development of children aged 0-5, making a lasting impact on their early years.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Support children’s development through engaging activities, play, and structured learning experiences that stimulate curiosity and encourage learning.
* Work as part of a team to deliver the EYFS curriculum, supporting children’s social, emotional, and educational needs.
* Observe and track children’s progress, contributing to their learning journeys and ensuring each child’s individual needs are met.
* Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, creating an inclusive and supportive nursery environment.
* Ensure the nursery is a clean, safe, and organised environment, following health and safety guidelines.
* Promote positive behaviour and help children develop social skills, cooperation, and respect for others.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with young children in a nursery or childcare setting, ideally with a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification.
* Passionate about early childhood development, with a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* A warm, friendly, and patient approach to working with children, with the ability to create a fun and positive learning environment.
* Excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with children, parents, and the nursery team.
* A proactive and adaptable attitude, able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety in a nursery setting.
